Raised in Iowa City and now residing in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area with her wife, two daughters and two dogs, Sarah Something (aka Sarah “SJ” Julius) is an emerging musical talent with a knack for blending heartfelt storytelling with catchy melodies.
Since teaching herself how to play guitar in 2018, Sarah’s songwriting style has evolved into an eclectic mix of genres including folk, rock, country and pop, which she lovingly dubs #FrockyBop.
Her debut album, Orientation, released on May 2, 2024, is a testament to Sarah’s commitment to spreading positivity and inclusivity through music.

After releasing a handful of singles over the past year, Sarah is now working on her second album, Queer Country, which is set to release on June 12, 2026.
